Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Structural Package Consultant to join their dynamic global projects team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in interfacing with internal functions, pipelay subcontractors, the LLI Delivery Team, OSS, and clients to ensure the effective delivery of products throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Package Manager and Project Functions to define the physical limits of packaging and establish HSES, quality, and schedule targets.
- Prepare an Execution Plan and Convergence Plan alongside the Project Planner, adhering to budgets and controlling schedules.
- Conduct regular progress reviews with engineering teams, supply chain management, suppliers, and fabricators, addressing areas of concern and supporting readiness reviews.
- Identify and manage changes, preparing and following up on project changes and variation orders through established change processes.
- Oversee the execution of Engineering scopes, ensuring smooth collaboration among Supply Chain, Fabrication, and Operations teams.
- Take ownership of risk management and schedule adherence within your work package, ensuring timely resolution of interface issues in collaboration with the Interface Manager.
- Engage in design reviews, manage CTRs, RACI matrices, interfaces, action tracking, and supplier audits, ensuring compliance with project management processes.
- Participate in engineering, procurement, fabrication follow-ups, and readiness reviews, ensuring lessons learned are communicated and integrated into best practices.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Extensive practical experience in Subsea EPCI consultancy.
- Proven management experience with flowline structures and spools; knowledge of subsea production system hardware is essential.
- Willingness and ability to travel onshore and offshore, with a solid understanding of HSE policies and procedures; safety leadership qualities are essential.
- Demonstrable budget awareness and financial management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel) and Mathcad.
Key Abilities:
- Ability to solve complex technical problems and originate CLIENT issued TQ\’s/DVR\’s.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Capable of working independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team while adhering to project deadlines and compliance.
- Proven knowledge of pipelay methods and vessels, along with experience either in offshore support or fabrication yards.
- Degree qualified in Structural/Civil Engineering or equivalent, with membership in a relevant professional body.
