Job Summary: The client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Piping Consultant to join their dynamic engineering team. Under the guidance of a Discipline Manager, Lead, or Principal Engineer, you will provide exceptional engineering expertise in the structures and piping discipline, contributing to our cutting-edge projects. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a project team to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise in piping engineering while adhering to relevant design codes, including ASME B31.8, ASME B31.4, B31.3, and DNV-ST-F101.
- Collaborate with the project team, supporting the Principal/Lead in executing piping engineering tasks.
- Evaluate, organize, and prioritize work independently, ensuring alignment with internal checks and approvals.
- Conduct analysis, design, and engineering activities for Subsea Piping Design, including Wall Thickness Calculations, Piping Stress Analysis, Detailed Drawings (GA & Isometric), and P&IDs.
- Originates and checks technical deliverables, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and client specifications.
- Demonstrate knowledge of piping materials, flanges, connectors, and valve standards (ASME B16.5, API 6A/API 17D).
- Act as the technical owner in supporting Supply Chain Management (SCM) for procurement of piping packages.
- Produce CTR estimates for relevant scopes of work and identify project opportunities for enhancement.
- Maintain full traceability of the technical development through the project lifecycle and provide regular feedback on workloads.
Qualifications
- Bachelor\’s or Master\’s degree in Engineering (MEng), preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
- Relevant experience in onshore and offshore/Subsea piping design.
- Proven ability to lead piping projects when necessary.
- Willingness to travel for project requirements to supplier and fabrication sites, as well as to Subsea 7 offices in other countries.
