We are recruiting a Logistics Analyst with DAX Formulas experience, to join our client’s Material Planning team in Leicester for a 12 month renewable contract. Reporting to the Material Requirements Planning Supervisor, you will support both day-to-day operations and tactical planning to ensure materials are shipped, received, stored and delivered accurately, efficiently and on time.

In this role, you will improve inbound and outbound material flow, resolve scheduling and transport issues, manage inventory and supplier delivery schedules, and support production during off-shifts. You will also play a key role in developing data-driven insights and process automation using Power BI, Power Apps, Excel and SAP, while leading small to medium improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma principles.

Key responsibilities:

  • Improve inbound/outbound material flow and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Investigate and resolve material scheduling, transport and supplier issues
  • Manage inventory levels and supplier delivery schedules; monitor supplier performance
  • Resolve invoice and inventory discrepancies
  • Develop dashboards and reports in Power BI for material planning analysis
  • Create Power Apps solutions to automate and streamline processes
  • Use advanced Excel (pivot tables, complex lookups, macros/automation) for accurate reporting
  • Use SAP for material planning and inventory management
  • Lead small to medium projects using Lean and Six Sigma methods

Required qualifications & skills:

  • Previous material planning experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Expertise in Power BI (data modelling, DAX, visualisation)
  • Proficiency in Power Apps and MS Office Suite
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, macros/automation)

Preferred qualifications:

  • APICS CPIM or CSPC National Certification
  • Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics Management, Industrial Engineering or similar
  • SAP experience
