Our client is one of the largest bulk liquid storage and logistics businesses in Europe. Due to an increase in project volume for 2026, they are now seeking to hire an experienced Project Engineer for their Grays Tank Farm, to work on Tanks projects, Bund Upgrades, Rotating Equipment, Civils, and Bay Upgrades. This is a site-based role working with a team of Project Engineers/Managers and Construction Manager, with regular liaison with Operations and Maintenance teams.

Location: Grays, Essex

Duration: 12 months +

Start date: asap

Rate: Negotiable day rate

The role:

  • You will support the successful delivery of capital (CAPEX) projects on the Terminal, with a focus on commercial growth installations, tank and pipeline inspections, and associated repair work.
  • This role ensures that engineering works are executed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with company standards.
  • You will assist the Project Manager in the delivery of Commercial Growth (new installation) CAPEX projects.
  • To plan and manage the programme of works for the inspection and repair of tanks, pipelines, and minor projects.
  • Responsibility for supervision and reporting of several projects and/or engineering works at the Grays Terminal.
  • Oversees multi-disciplined contract engineers who conduct engineering activities on the assets.
  • Ensure that all works are executed on time and to budget and in full compliance with company standards and UK legislation.

Essential experience:

  • Project Engineering background in the Oil and Gas or Fuel Storage sector
  • COMAH site experience
  • Previous tanks experience - desirable
