About the role:
Your day-to-day duties as a Buyer will include:
- Category Management
- Budget Planning and Reporting
- Supplier Contracts
- Project Management
- Practical Problem Solving
- Advanced Negotiation Techniques
- Inventory Management Understanding
- Management Systems knowledge (ISO, PDCA, TQM, etc)
Confident problem-solving and quick decision-making counts, within this automotive company. As a Buyer, you will be exposed to all areas of a manufacturing business. You will be working within a well-established team that can manage the operational aspects of the clients supply chain, supporting the wider business unit functions, and ensuring category strategies are developed and implemented. Focused on protecting and driving out cost on current and future projects and ensuring that there is an established and robust supply chain that can meet the needs of the business for the long term. You will gain a great understanding of what the business needs and work closely with suppliers in the UK, Europe, Russia, and Asia.
Skills and Experience:
Our client is looking for someone with excellent negotiation and people management skills. Quick problem-solving and ability to build strong internal and external relationships. Procurement experience within a similar industry would be advantageous, but not essential.
