Our global offshore energy projects client is looking for an experienced Senior Cathodic Protection & Corrosion Consultant to join their Design & Analysis group within the Materials, Welding & Coating (MWC) discipline.
You will work on major EPCI projects, FEEDs and tenders, with exposure to flexibles, rigid flowlines, PIP systems, subsea structures, and offshore/onshore fabrication and installation activities.
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing specialist Cathodic Protection (CP) technical support to projects and internal disciplines.
- Preparing CP design reports and performing CP calculations for subsea flowlines, risers and structures in line with international standards.
- Preparing anode specifications and Material Take Offs (MTOs) for tenders and live projects.
- Reviewing, clarifying and technically evaluating anode supplier offers, procedures and documentation.
- Acting as the single point of contact for project teams on all CP-related matters.
- Performing corrosion assessments and COâ‚‚ corrosion rate modelling for pipelines.
- Participating in meetings with clients, vendors and suppliers, resolving technical issues as required.
- Supporting fabrication, installation, Quality and Supply Chain Management (SCM) teams and ensuring effective communication across all interfaces.
What we’re looking for:
- Extensive experience in CP system design and calculations, ideally in the subsea oil & gas sector.
- Strong understanding of corrosion mechanisms for subsea systems.
- Experience supporting anode procurement and reviewing supplier documentation.
- Degree in Materials Science or a related engineering discipline.
- Strong analytical skills, risk-focused mindset and sound decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple interfaces in a multicultural environment.
- ISO/NACE CP certification(s) preferred.
