Rhino Recruitment is working on behalf of a valued client to appoint an experienced Site Manager for an upcoming solar installation project based at a major automotive manufacturing facility in Oxford. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented Site Manager to take a lead role in overseeing site activity, quality assurance, and coordination of subcontractors on a technically straightforward but high-profile project.

The Role

  • Oversee site operations for a solar panel installation project
  • Manage and coordinate subcontracted installation teams
  • Ensure all works are carried out to required quality standards
  • Conduct inspections and maintain QA records
  • Use digital platforms for reporting and project tracking (Mondaydotcom / BIM360)
  • Act as the senior on-site representative for the client
  • Liaise with stakeholders and ensure smooth day-to-day site operations

Requirements

  • Valid SMSTS certification (essential)
  • Valid CSCS Black Card/CSCS White Card (essential)
  • Proven experience in a Site Manager or similar role
  • Strong background in QA and inspection processes
  • Comfortable using digital systems and reporting tools
  • Experience in solar, M&E, or roofing projects (highly desirable)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage subcontractors and maintain high standards on site
