Rhino Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering company based near Usk. Established in 2007, our client is a family-run business with an excellent reputation for quality workmanship, continuous investment in equipment, and delivering engineering solutions across multiple industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an experienced Mechanical Fitter to their team.
The Role
This is a varied and hands-on position, ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working both independently and as part of a team, and taking ownership of projects on-site and in the workshop. Typical duties include:
- Assembly of machinery and equipment from engineering drawings
- Shaft rebuilds and bearing replacements
- Installation and assembly of steel structures, platforms, conveyors and lifting equipment
- Hydraulic cylinder strip-downs and rebuilds
- Factory maintenance and breakdown support
- Planned shutdown and downtime maintenance work
- Gearbox rebuilds and repairs
With customers located within approximately 45 minutes of the workshop, most work is completed during standard working hours, although overtime opportunities are regularly available and paid at enhanced rates.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 2 years mechanical fitting experience.
