About the Role
We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable Groundworker to join a site team in Northampton for an initial 6-week contract.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of general groundworks duties, working efficiently and safely as part of a construction team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general groundworks and construction duties
- Digging, levelling and preparing ground
- Concrete work and foundations
- Drainage and pipe installation
- Kerbing, edging and paving
- Slabbing and associated external works
- Reading and working from site plans and drawings where required
- Operating hand tools and relevant equipment
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area
- Following all site health and safety procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Groundworker
- Relevant construction site experience
- CSCS card required
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Relevant tickets or qualifications for plant operation would be advantageous
