Job Overview

Rhino Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced CNC Operator on behalf of a busy manufacturing client based in Cardiff. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience operating CNC machinery within the aluminium window, door, and curtain walling sector, specifically working with Kawneer and/or Metal Technology systems. This role is suited to someone with strong technical knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and set CNC machinery for aluminium fabrication
  • Manufacture aluminium window, door, and curtain wall components to specification
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and production schedules
  • Programme, adjust, and monitor CNC machines where required
  • Work with Kawneer and Metal Technology profiles and systems
  • Carry out quality inspections on finished products
  • Ensure all work is completed accurately and within production deadlines
  • Maintain machinery and keep work areas clean and safe
  • Follow all health & safety procedures and company standards

Essential Requirements

  • Proven CNC operating experience within aluminium manufacturing
  • Previous experience working with Kawneer and/or Metal Technology window and door systems
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Strong understanding of fabrication processes and machining techniques
  • High attention to detail and quality standards
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious

Desirable Skills

  • CNC programming experience
  • Experience with curtain walling systems
  • Forklift licence (advantageous)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
