On behalf of our client based in the Midlands, Rhino Recruitment is recruiting for a Credit Insurance Broker – Hybrid Account Manager / New Business. This role straddles two worlds: safeguarding and growing a portfolio of existing credit insurance clients while actively hunting and converting new business. You'll manage relationships, optimise policies, and help clients navigate risk, all while driving fresh revenue by identifying and securing new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of trade credit clients, ensuring strong retention, timely reviews, and well-structured renewals
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing guidance on policy performance, credit limits, buyer risk, and claims
- Develop a healthy pipeline of new prospects and convert them into long-term clients
- Analyse client financials, credit exposures, and trading patterns to shape suitable policy structures
- Negotiate terms with insurers, securing competitive coverage for both renewing and new clients
- Deliver clear proposals, renewal reports, and strategic market reviews
- Maintain close working relationships with underwriters to support smooth placements and proactive communication
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the existing portfolio
- Forecast revenue, track activity, and report progress against objectives
Skills & Experience
- Solid experience in credit insurance broking, underwriting, or credit risk management
- Strong understanding of trade credit products, insurer appetites, and policy mechanics
- Proven ability to manage client relationships while delivering growth through new business
- Confident communicator with sharp negotiation and presentation skills
- Comfortable analysing financial statements and assessing buyer risk
- Highly organised, commercially tuned, and driven to exceed targets
Qualifications
- Relevant industry experience is essential. Professional qualifications (CICM, ACII, or similar) are a plus
