Salary: up to 40k (dependent on experience) Overview We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our client s growing commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop their career within office refurbishment and commercial fit-out projects.
Working alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers, the successful candidate will assist in the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account, gaining valuable experience across all aspects of quantity surveying.
Key Responsibilities Assist with preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions for office refurbishment projects.
Support the commercial management of projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
Assist with procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, including preparing enquiries and analysing quotations.
Help prepare subcontractor packages, valuations, and payment applications.
Monitor project costs and assist with identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
Support the preparation of interim valuations, applications for payment, variations, and final accounts.
Maintain accurate cost records, commercial documentation, and project files.
Assist with monthly cost reporting and forecasting.
