The Role: The purpose of the role is to promote and sell the range of Convatec products and Amcare service in both the Acute and primary care sectors.

Territory: North London, Kent, and Essex

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grow Convatec product market share through both established and new relationships.
  • Position Amcare as service package of choice.
  • Create clear and compelling solution-based value propositions through engagement with key NHS customers within primary & secondary care (ostomy sector).
  • Accountable for business/account plans development and delivery of the business.
  • Build advocacy across acute setting (regionally/UK) for both Convatec products & Amcare services.
  • Cultivate a strong understanding of the stoma patient pathway & key customer pain points to identify how Convatec/Amcare products and services can add value.
  • Continually develop and utilise an in-depth understanding of the NHS long term plan and how that influences the future of the ostomy market.
  • Lead on market analysis, including health economics to influence NHS thinking and drive commitment to working in partnership.
  • Promote and lead on Convatec/Amcare Community Ostomy Model (coms) in primary care setting.

This is an ever-changing role and your focus may change to suit the needs of both the company and the market, therefore we require an adaptable, tenacious and forward-thinking Business Development Manager who is not afraid to question the norm and thrives on sharing best practice to achieve shared goals.

Skills & Experience:

  • Possesses a good knowledge of economics and how current ostomy market trends influence sales including Solution & Value Selling requiring a consultative selling approach.
  • Is persuasive and can easily influence others and builds a team culture.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and deliver results.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills essential.
  • Demonstrates creativity.
  • Strategic thinking, foresight and problem solver.
  • Commercial acumen.
  • Excellent communication and networking skills. Able to negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates good listening skills.
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

Working Requirements: In the field 5 days per week, 90% customer facing. Travel requirements once a quarter for regional meetings.
