The predicted salary is between 49500 - 60500 £ per year.

In this position, you would directly report to the Plant Manager. As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for the creation and execution of the audit schedule, managing and resolving both internal and external non-conformances, and training in and carrying out all laboratory practices. The role includes supplier management of raw materials, carrying out R&D activities as directed by the R&D team through a weekly call. You will be leading scrap projects across the site and reporting directly to the European Quality Management team, and overseeing the creation and control of all documents and procedures. You will have ownership of the full QMS lifecycle: audits, NCR/CAR management, document control, and process improvement. There will be some travel required in this position to our European Plant network and customers as required.

Your Tasks

  • Responsible for the maintenance of the quality management system to ISO9001.
  • Responsible for the laboratory, including employees and workflow, to ensure standards are maintained and testing is completed within a satisfactory time frame.
  • Leading and reporting daily KPIs to the management team at site and reporting key monthly KPIs.
  • Ensuring processes are in line with ASTM & API standards.

Your Profile

  • Several years of experience in refractories, ceramics, advanced materials, or high‑temperature industrial products.
  • Experience supplying into highly regulated sectors such as oil & gas, petrochemicals, aerospace.
  • Demonstrated success in maintaining ISO 9001 certification.
  • Skilled in maintaining certification readiness and leading external audits.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, formulation mixing and processing forming.
  • Experience with ASTM and API test methods for refractories.
  • Familiar with customer qualification processes, technical data sheets, MTCs, and compliance documentation.
  • Nice to have: Previously worked with ISO 14001 & ISO 45001, API Certified, IOSH Certified, and experience with Lean practices and Six Sigma.
