Our Warehouse Operative & FLT Drivers play a key role in managing the flow of goods and ensuring everything ends up where it needs to be.
Responsibilities- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Preparing consignments for outbound routes in line with company procedures.
- Scanning goods into and out of the warehouse using the relevant systems.
- Conducting and documenting regular stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with operational requirements.
- Organising stock within the warehouse to optimise space and ensure efficient retrieval.
- Performing pre-use inspections on all Materials Handling Equipment (MHE), such as forklifts, and reporting any faults or issues immediately.
- Supporting compliance initiatives by adhering to health and safety regulations, company SOPs, and industry standards.
- Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment to facilitate safe and efficient operations.
- Assisting with routine warehouse audits and completing compliance-related checklists and logs.
- Identifying and reporting non-conformance issues, damaged goods, or unsafe practices to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Ensuring all stock checks are completed accurately and on time to maintain inventory integrity.
- Conducting daily inspections of MHE to verify they are fit for use and report any faults.
- Organising stock systematically to meet operational requirements and compliance standards.
- Assisting in maintaining records for audits, including equipment inspections, stock reports, and incident logs.
- Proactively identifying and mitigating risks to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Participating in training sessions to remain updated on compliance protocols and procedures.
- Any other additional tasks in line with the evolving needs of the business.
- Previous warehouse experience is essential.
- Familiarity with warehouse compliance standards, including health and safety regulations (desired).
- Strong organisational skills to manage stock efficiently and accurately.
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving equipment or compliance issues.
- Attention to detail, particularly when performing stock checks or documenting compliance records.
- Counterbalance Forklift Licence (required).
- Knowledge of health and safety practices, such as COSHH and Manual Handling (preferred).
