Rhenus Logistics is a fast-growing Freight Forwarder investing in our sales team as part of our long-term commercial strategy. We are currently seeking an experienced Airfreight Import Operator to join our busy Air & Ocean department. The successful candidate will work as part of a collaborative team, handling bookings from both agents and customers. This role involves managing the full air import process, including arranging and completing customs clearances, calculating duty/VAT, and ensuring all associated operational procedures are accurately followed.

Main Duties:
- Speaking to customers/agents on a daily basis.
- Receiving bookings from customers/agents.
- Raising files within Rhenus software system.
- Preparation of clearance instructions.
- Speaking to Carriers, customers and hauliers.
- Checking flight arrival dates.
- Maintaining customer spreadsheets where required.
- Ensuring correct documentation is presented/obtained.
- Raising invoices to customers/agents.
- Raising duty/VAT invoices.
- File queries.

Skills and Experience:
- Experience in Air freight Industry β two years minimum.
- Must be able to complete/understand intricacies of Airfreight: MAWBs, HAWBs, etc.
- Experience of DG by Air preferred, but not essential.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Package β Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Qualifications:
- GCSE in English and Maths (Grade C and above)
