WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Position Purpose

We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Administrator to join our dynamic Spares Team within the Supply Chain team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can work independently or collaboratively, and is driven to deliver operational excellence and continuous improvement delivering value to the customer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate & administrate customer orders in order to meet contractual requirements of On Target In Full (OTIF), in order to exceed Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets.
  • Tasks range from raising customer demands, monitoring & releasing of stock through to full closure of order and invoicing
  • Actively managing customer & supplier relationships; fostering excellent working relationships so enhancing and promoting confidence in the RMMV-UK Supply Chain.
  • Creating and maintaining packages of work, in response to customer orders, using the RMMV-UK toolset (principally MS Excel and SAP); undergo training in order to upskill to keep pace with changes to systems and processes
  • Support and embrace a culture of continuous learning and development - actively look for opportunities to improve the way of working and respectfully challenging the norm
  • Lead on customer demand escalations and communicate route to delivery plans on a bi-weekly basis
  • Liaise with colleagues in the wider RMMV (UK and EU) team on a regular basis sharing best practice, identifying opportunities for procedural improvement and providing materiel advice as required.
  • Resolve, track & monitor quality issues affecting the supply of parts to the customer to reduce quality escapes
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks as may be required

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

Key Competencies:

  • Experience of working within defence and or logistics
  • Experience with SAP or similar MRP system
  • Outstanding organisational skills and attention-to-detail
  • Confident and professional when dealing with the resolution of supplier issues
  • Skilled using MS Excel, SAP
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, Proven track record in a continuous improvement environment

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders: and be able to communicate with all levels of management and staff on day-to-day activities.

Teamwork:

Promote collaboration and facilitate teamwork across the organisation, within the Supply Chain team and external stakeholders.
