Rheinmetall Weapons and Ammunition UK (RWM UK) is part of the defence engineering company Rheinmetall AG based in Germany. We design, manufacture and support military large-calibre weapon systems used by the British Army and international customers.

Location and Contract

  • Location: Telford, Shropshire (on-site)
  • Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week
  • Working hours: Shift work is planned
  • Start Date: ASAP

Role

As a Logistics Specialist, you will keep materials moving and production running—from good receipt and internal transport to waste management. You will be part of a small operational logistics team, working in a new manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role where you will be making a vital link between logistics and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Unloading of trucks with forklifts and overhead cranes
  • Checking delivered goods for damage and quantitative accuracy
  • Goods-inward booking in SAP
  • Storage, removal and transfer of materials and associated inventory management in SAP
  • Supply of materials needed in production
  • Packaging of materials for external transport
  • Loading of trucks with forklifts and overhead cranes
  • Emptying containers using a forklift truck, especially for metal chips from the CNC-machines
  • Transport of barrels, breech blocks and weapon systems within the building and to workshops on the wider premises

Requirements

  • Experience in working in a Logistics / Warehouse environment
  • FLT- and Crane-Licence
  • Extensive user experience operating FLT and Cranes
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, as part of a team, or individually
  • SAP knowledge in logistical aspects
