Rheinmetall Electronics UK (REUK) Ltd operates internationally, designing and manufacturing advanced electronics products and systems for the communications, defence, security and government services market. We are excited to announce that we are building upon the commercial success achieved to date, and have an opportunity to join our rapidly expanding team as a Logistics Technician.

The role of the Logistics Technician is to support the management of the company stock and inventory. You will be responsible for managing the receipting of all incoming goods into stores and other stock control duties, specifically utilising in-house computer systems for all aspects of inventory control.

Responsibilities and Tasks
  • Goods Receipt: Receipt of deliveries to site, including notification of deliveries to other departments. Produce accurate inspection records and feedback supplier performance to the procurement team. Participate in the creation of detailed records describing any non-conforming items to facilitate effective communication, corrective action and preventative action.
  • Dispatch: Safe, effective packing of finished goods and other materials.
  • Production Support: Generating ‘kit lists’ and picking items against works orders to support the team production schedule. Receipt of internally produced items into stock, including spot checks for expected documentation.
  • General stores and inventory management: Maintain a safe working environment within the Stores areas and all current Health and Safety legislation is observed; including basic “house-keeping”. Utilise ‘SAP B1’ ERP software effectively to maintain accurate stock levels and material traceability. Manage the layout and utilisation of stores to maximise capacity and throughput. Coordinate stock counts and reconciliation against inventory. Contribute to the ongoing development of operational procedures to achieve consistency of output, improve efficiency, and reduce waste. Participate in process audits to drive continuous improvement efforts.
Skills and Experience
  • Computer Literate with knowledge of stock handling systems.
  • Experience of working with an ERP system.
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving boxes of stock around by hand.
  • Experience of working with couriers and shipping agents.
  • Knowledge of IPC A-610/IPC WHMA-A-620 would be advantageous.
  • Possess good numeracy and literacy skills.
