Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land Ltd (RBSL) in Telford is offering a four year L3 Engineering Fitter apprenticeship to join our growing Early Careers community at our headquarters in Telford. RBSL is a growing and exciting business that specialises in the design, manufacture and support of military vehicles used by the British Army.

Engineering fitter apprenticeships are an excellent opportunity for a hands-on career in engineering. They provide valuable skills, competitive salaries, and a pathway to various roles within the engineering sector.

Level 3 Engineering Fitter ST0432:
  • Working week: 37 hours per week
  • Expected apprenticeship duration: 48 Months
  • Possible start date: Sept 2026
  • Apprenticeship level: Advanced Level Apprenticeship Level 3 (A level)
  • Closing Date: 5th March, however, we reserve the right to close applications earlier than stated depending on volume of applications.

  • Pay: £22500 – subject to pay award increase

Significant amount of days release to training provider with the remainder of the time spent on site working within the operations function of RBSL. Day release to the Training Provider where the apprentice will be studying a Level 3 standard Engineering Fitter (ST0432). When in the business, the apprentice will spend time in various areas of the Operations function, to build upon the knowledge and understanding gained whilst studying at college. This is a hands-on apprenticeship which will require individuals to work in our busy shop floor areas, using tools.

On successful completion of the four-year apprenticeship, apprentices will be eligible to apply for available vacancies within the RBSL operations team. Positions: 5 positions available.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE:

Candidates are required to have a minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or equivalent, including Mathematics, English and a Science.
