Here at the Westmorland Family we make all our food ourselves from fresh local ingredients including beef and lamb from our own farm at Tebay and carefully selected local suppliers to ensure the highest quality ingredients. Our production unit at Gloucester Services specialises in batch cooking our homemade dishes that are sold in our Kitchens at Gloucester.
Responsibilities
- Support our chefs as a Production Team Member by assisting in all areas of food production in line with company standards and to recipe specifications, including packaging and labeling.
- Assist with all aspects of kitchen cleanliness, including the pot wash.
- Support the Stock Controller with receiving, checking and storing deliveries correctly while ensuring effective stock rotation.
Working patterns
We work straight shifts with no splits and mainly during the day but can be flexible depending on the needs of a successful work/life balance.
Qualifications
- Previous food production experience would be desirable but we are open to hearing from people from all different backgrounds.
- You should be comfortable with handling and preparing food, long periods of standing, lifting and carrying, as well as other tasks, including cleaning.
- You will need to work well as part of a team, be willing to get stuck in wherever needed and have good communication skills.
