We are looking for a talented Metal Fabricator/Welder/Fitter to join our expanding team based in our workshop at Nottingham and on customer sites in the UK. We require a highly skilled, self-motivated individual that possesses a high level of quality & ownership skills. The successful candidate must be competent with the use of all metal working machinery along with an excellent eye for detail.
Role & Responsibilities
- Main purpose: Responsible for building high quality metal components
- Your role may include but not limited to:
- Building high quality metal components
- Reading & interpreting engineering drawings
- Reacting to customer breakdowns in-house and onsite
- Measuring, marking cutting & bending
- Set up metal work machinery including presses, cutters, brakes, shears & rollers
- Grinding & finishing to a high specification
- Carrying out all QA checks prior to despatch
- Working within Company H&S procedures
- Any ad-hoc responsibilities
Essential
- Flexibility
- Able to work as part of a team
- Demonstrate an excellent H&S ethic and have knowledge & experience of conforming to Safety Regulations
- Demonstrate high level of detail
Desirable
- Qualifications in manual handling
- Qualification in Mechanical Engineering
