About RHAELM
RHAELM is the sovereign AI cloud built to accelerate secure AI deployment at scale, combining power and infrastructure pipelines with global capability and local, in-country operations. Headquartered in London, with deployments across Europe and APAC, we deliver ring-fenced compute, networking, and storage infrastructure alongside a sovereign platform and flexible Bare Metal, Kubernetes, and AI-as-a-Service models. Focused on regulated and mission-critical sectors including Government, Defence, Healthcare, and Financial Services, we give organisations sovereign control over their AI infrastructure, platform, and data.
This Role
You will be the trusted people partner to senior leaders and their teams as RHAELM scales across the UK, Europe and APAC. Working closely with business leaders, you will turn commercial and operational priorities into practical people plans covering organisation design, capability, performance, engagement and retention.
This is a hands-on role in a company still building its foundations. You will balance day-to-day advisory and employee relations work with the strategic projects that shape how RHAELM grows, with real scope to set the standard for how we work, develop and lead as we expand into new markets.
Key Responsibilities
-
Partner with senior leaders to align people strategy with business objectives and growth plans.
-
Advise and coach managers on performance, development, absence, conduct and wider employee relations matters, acting as the escalation point for complex cases.
-
Lead organisation design and change activity, including restructures, role design and team expansion across multiple locations.
-
Support workforce planning and succession, working closely with Talent Acquisition on hiring priorities and onboarding.
-
Drive engagement, retention and inclusion initiatives, using people data and insight to inform decisions.
-
Ensure HR practice complies with UK employment law and adapts appropriately to the legal requirements of other jurisdictions in which we operate.
-
Contribute to the development and rollout of scalable HR policies, processes and systems.
-
Support leadership capability and manager development as the business grows.
-
Maintain accurate people data and reporting, with due regard to UK GDPR and data residency obligations.
Experience
-
Proven experience as an HR Business Partner, or senior HR generalist, supporting senior leaders in a complex, growing organisation.
-
Background in technology, engineering, infrastructure or another technical or regulated sector.
-
Track record of leading organisational change, including restructures and team build-outs.
-
Experience handling employee relations casework independently, from advice through to resolution.
-
Exposure to supporting people across more than one country, ideally including Europe or APAC.
-
Experience working in a scale-up or high-growth environment where processes are still being shaped.
Skills
-
Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
-
Credibility and presence with senior stakeholders, with the confidence to challenge constructively.
-
Commercial awareness and the ability to link people decisions to business outcomes.
-
Sound judgement and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential matters.
-
Confident use of people data and HR systems to generate insight and support decisions.
-
Clear, pragmatic communication, and a practical approach to building process where none exists.
Qualifications
-
CIPD Level 5 or Level 7, or equivalent HR qualification.
-
Degree in HR, Business or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
-
Ability to meet the security vetting requirements of our Government and Defence work.
