Responsibilities
- As an established tutor, you will be part of our teaching team that delivers counselling qualification courses from level 2 to 4.
- Working closely with the Programme Manager for Counselling, you will plan and deliver high‑quality learning programmes to meet the needs of all learners.
- You will be responsible for the management of coursework and ePortfolios via an online learning platform.
- You will complete standard quality assurance tasks related to course planning and management, learner attendance and punctuality, learner progression, assessment and evaluation.
- You will be invited to attend regular one‑to‑one and team meetings and will support the learner recruitment processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum Level 4 Teaching Qualification (Level 5 desirable) or be willing to work towards gaining a Level 5 teaching qualification.
- Counselling Qualification – a therapeutic counselling qualification (450 hours) at Level 4 (or above), a current practitioner with two years supervised counselling practice, or a minimum 450 counselling hours with a supervision qualification, or one year experience of providing supervision to groups or individuals in a counselling setting.
- 10 hours of personal therapy.
- Member of a professional association for counselling or psychotherapy.
- 30 hours per year of CPD activities.
- Candidates will be offered ongoing continual professional development as per BACP requirements.
- This is a full‑time post but applications for working part‑time are welcomed and will be equally considered.
