Job Description:

The ALS department provides additional, tailored support to learners with specific learning difficulties to help them maximise their potential and succeed.

We are looking to recruit Computing and Digital Skills Tutors to provide support to learners with specific learning difficulties. The successful applicant(s) will offer regular tutorial support to help learners progress and achieve their academic goals. Classes are scheduled during the day and evening, on-site and online, during term time only. Working patterns will be negotiated based on the successful applicant(s)\’ availability.

Candidates should have at least a Level 3 qualification in Computing, Digital Skills, Creative Technologies, or a related subject. Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Teams and OneDrive is required, and a willingness to develop digital confidence to support a wide range of digital and creative technology courses.

Applicants must also hold Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths—either GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above, or Functional Skills Level 2.

Applicants should possess excellent communication and record-keeping skills, a positive and supportive attitude, and the ability to adapt to individual learner needs. The role involves motivating learners, helping them overcome challenges, and supporting their achievement. This is an excellent opportunity to join a creative and inclusive learning community. We particularly welcome applications from current or former learners who have completed our Digital or Creative Technology courses and are ready to support others while developing their own skills and confidence.
