Due to continued demand by a varied client base, RHA Recruitment Solutions is keen to speak to highly skilled and experienced Project Controls Managers looking for a new challenge. Working with national consultancies, contractors or SMEs, you will be working closely with established teams and as Project Controls Manager, will be responsible for overseeing project cost control, change management, and Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies. These positions are critical in ensuring the successful delivery of a range of multi‐million pound projects, across multiple industry sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and managing project schedules using tools including Primavera P6.
- Oversee cost estimating functions, including independent cost estimates and contractor-style cost estimates.
- Implement client cost control processes and monitor project budgets.
- Assist in coordinating engineering and construction activities in line with project schedules.
- Measure and control project cost, schedules, and technical performance against plans.
- Prepare regular project status reports and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Recruit, train, and mentor project controls staff to ensure consistent application of guidelines and procedures.
- Provide regular briefings to project managers on project financials, schedule status, and issues.
Qualifications
- Ideally Degree educated in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field, you will offer 3+ years experience in project controls, preferably in the infrastructure or construction industry.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and other project management software is required, as is a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
- You will have excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
