A long-established manufacturing and fabrication business is seeking a skilled Dimensional Quality Inspector to join its quality and inspection team. This role plays a key part in ensuring products meet required specifications, standards, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities of a Dimensional Quality Inspector
- Carry out detailed dimensional inspections on fabricated and machined components
- Verify components against engineering drawings, tolerances, and quality requirements
- Perform in-process and final inspections throughout the production cycle
- Use a range of precision measuring equipment (verniers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
- Identify, record, and report non-conformances and inspection results
- Support root cause investigations and corrective actions where required
- Liaise with production and quality personnel to ensure compliance with internal and customer standards
Skills & Experience of a Dimensional Quality Inspector Required
- Demonstrated experience in a Dimensional or Quality Inspection role within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- High level of attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection tasks
- Ability to work independently and manage inspection priorities
Highly Regarded
- Experience in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), particularly:
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
- Current or previous NDT certifications
Hours of Work
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 3:45pm
- Friday: 6am – 1pm
