Van Driver & Warehouse Operative – Colchester
£12.21 per hour | Weekly Pay | Temporary Position | Full-Time | Immediate Start Available
We are currently seeking a committed and hard-working Van Driver & Warehouse Operative to join our client’s fast-paced distribution team based in Colchester. This is a temporary position offering full-time hours and consistent weekly pay, with full training provided.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the road but is also comfortable working in a warehouse environment. You’ll play a key role in both the delivery and dispatch operations, ensuring that goods are picked, packed, loaded, and delivered on time and in excellent condition.

Location: Colchester
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour (paid weekly, every Friday)
Job Type: Full-time, Temporary
Start Date: Immediate starts available
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday: 08:30 – 17:30
Every other Saturday: 08:00 – 12:00
Between 40–44 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving Duties:
- Delivering automotive parts (including brake pads, brake discs, batteries, nuts, bolts, and similar items) to customers and trade clients around the Colchester area
- Planning and completing daily delivery routes in a timely and efficient manner
- Providing excellent customer service at the point of delivery
- Conducting vehicle checks and ensuring your van is clean, safe, and roadworthy
- Picking and packing customer orders using handheld scanners
- Labelling and preparing stock for dispatch
- Loading your own van with accuracy and care
- General housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe working environment
What We’re Looking For:
- A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
- Previous experience in a driving and/or warehouse role is desirable
- Good level of physical fitness – some heavy lifting may be required
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A positive, can-do attitude and excellent timekeeping
