The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Workshop Supervisor to join a busy and well-equipped operation in Scunthorpe. This is a hands-on position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the workshop, ensuring all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. The site operates a modern 12-bay workshop, including 5 pits, 3 ramps, and an ATF lane, maintaining a mixed fleet of HGVs and trailers.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of HGV technicians
- Allocate and prioritise daily workloads
- Ensure all maintenance and repairs meet DVSA standards
- Maintain high levels of health and safety compliance
- Assist with diagnostics, servicing, and repairs where required
- Manage job cards, documentation, and general workshop organisation
- Liaise with management on workload and performance
Requirements
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician or Workshop Supervisor
- Strong working knowledge of HGVs and trailers
- Competent in diagnostics, maintenance, and repair
- Previous supervisory experience or ready to step into a leadership role
- Organised, reliable, and proactive approach

- HGV Licence
- LOLER certification
