An established and reputable fabrication business specialising in wear protection and lining solutions is seeking an experienced Fabrication Supervisor to join its growing team. This is a hands‑on supervisory role suited to someone with strong welding experience who enjoys leading by example on the shop floor.
The Role of a Fabrication Supervisor:
- Supervise and coordinate daily fabrication and welding operations
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of fabricators and welders
- Carry out hands‑on fabrication and welding work as required
- Ensure all work meets quality standards, specifications, and deadlines
- Promote and maintain high standards of health & safety at all times
- Liaise with management to plan workloads and improve efficiency
Essential Skills & Experience of a Fabrication Supervisor:
- Strong, proven experience in MIG and MAG welding
- Solid background in fabrication within an industrial or heavy engineering environment
- Experience supervising or mentoring others
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings
- Good organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem‑solving
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience in hard facing / hard face welding
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 3:45pm
- Friday: 6:00am – 1:00pm
