We are recruiting for our Client in Barnsley for a Quality Manager. The company currently supports demanding industries such as mining, steel, cement, and power generation. Renowned for our innovation, product performance, and customer focus, the client continues to grow as a trusted partner to clients around the world.


We’re looking for a proactive and hands-on Quality Manager to drive the Company\’s quality assurance and control processes. This is a key position where you\’ll play a crucial role in upholding product integrity, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities of a Quality Manager

Lead and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to ISO 9001 standards.

Oversee day-to-day quality control across manufacturing and production lines.

Plan and conduct internal audits; support external audits and certification processes.

Investigate non-conformances, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

Collaborate with engineering, production, and commercial teams to resolve quality challenges.

Maintain up-to-date documentation, procedures, and compliance records.

Support and train team members on quality standards and best practices.

Act as a point of contact for customer and supplier quality-related issues.

Person Specification of a Quality Manager

Experience in a quality-focused role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and practical experience maintaining a QMS.

Analytical mindset with good problem-solving and process improvement skills.

Effective communication and leadership capabilities.

Familiarity with quality tools such as 8D, FMEA, SPC, and ideally Six Sigma.

A relevant qualification in engineering, manufacturing, or quality management.
