About the role

This full time permanent MET Technician role is based in Newcastle, offering an OTE of £50,000 plus an uncapped bonus for a 45 hour working week. As a Mechanical, Electrical and Trim Technician, you will play a key role within a busy bodyshop environment, carrying out high quality vehicle preparation and repair work on cars and light commercial vehicles. This position would suit an experienced MET Technician with a bodyshop background, or a manufacturer trained technician looking for a new challenge in accident repair. You will be joining a professional workshop where quality, safety and customer satisfaction are priorities.

Key responsibilities

  • Assessing accident damaged vehicles to identify required mechanical, electrical and trim repairs.
  • Stripping and refitting vehicle components to support body and paint repair processes.
  • Repairing and replacing damaged mechanical and electrical parts in line with manufacturer standards.
  • Requesting required parts to ensure efficient job completion.
  • Completing job cards accurately and clearly on completion of work.
  • Maintaining high levels of productivity while working safely and to a high standard.

Skills and experience required

  • Proven experience stripping and fitting a wide range of vehicles.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a relevant vehicle repair discipline.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and trim repair processes.
  • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
  • ATA qualification is desirable but not essential.
