What You’ll Be Doing as HGV Shift Supervisor:
- Overseeing the workshop team during your shift, ensuring productivity and quality standards are met
- Supporting and mentoring technicians, providing guidance when needed
- Allocating jobs and monitoring progress to keep workflow on track
- Carrying out hands-on maintenance, servicing, and MOT prep on trailers and HGVs when required
- Ensuring all compliance, health & safety, and VOSA standards are adhered to
- Liaising with management to provide shift updates and highlight any issues
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician with the ability to step up into a supervisory role, or previous experience as a Shift Supervisor/Workshop Foreman
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in HGV maintenance preferred, or time-served background
- Strong communication and leadership skills to manage and motivate a team
- Solid knowledge of compliance, safety standards, and VOSA requirements
