Venatu Recruitment is proud to announce that a new client, who are specialists within the Fire Protection industry, are now looking for a Fire Sprinkler Design Engineer to join them as soon as possible. They pride themselves on being a leading figure within the industry, offering several Fire Protection & Sprinkler services such as design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. They are also one of the most established in their field, having traded for almost 40 years with a focus on delivering high-quality service, which has earned them an enviable reputation as the best in the business within the industry. Due to growth and expansion, they are now looking for a Fire Sprinkler Design Engineer to join them ASAP.
For this role, you need a full understanding of BSEN 12845 (NFPA & FM Global beneficial), with the ability to problem-solve and resolve issues that occur daily.
This is a full-time role paying between £30k – £70k DOE.
Job Duties Include:
- Ensure clients\’/insurers\’ requirements are adhered to at all times.
- Work closely with the project team to ensure designs are completed on time and meet technical submission standards.
- Be involved in drawing and calculations to ensure compliance with relevant fire sprinkler system standards.
- Prepare relevant documents for tendering from initial client inquiries.
- Carry out site surveys prior to design, collecting the required information.
- Complete ISO-9001 paperwork related to projects.
The type of candidate we\’re looking for:
- LPCB Basic – mandatory
- LPCB intermediate or LPCB FHC – not essential but advantageous
- AutoCAD 2D (essential)
- Experience conducting site surveys, attending client meetings, and overseeing site installations
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Sprinkler Industry
- CSCS Card – desirable but not essential
- Customer care and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Ability to conduct site surveys
- Professional manner in dealing with customers and representing the company
- UK driving license; this role is primarily office-based with travel being a significant component.
