Production Manager to lead multi-shift operations, ensuring production plans are delivered safely and efficiently to high quality standards. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in high-volume manufacturing environments, particularly within corrugated processes.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day blow moulding production operations
- Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are achieved
- Drive KPIs including OEE, waste reduction, downtime, and labour efficiency
- Lead, motivate, and develop multi-shift production teams
- Promote a strong health & safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE standards
- Support continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing and 5S
- Work closely with Engineering and Quality teams to improve performance and reduce downtime
- Drive improvements in efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainability
- Leverage data analysis and insights to drive operational efficiency, profitability, and informed decision-making
- Develop and enhance reporting through automation, standardisation, and effective visualisation to communicate performance to stakeholders
- Lead and approve production process improvements at a regional level, ensuring they remain scalable, efficient and fit for purpose
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to align and standardise processes
- Support implementation of new workflows, tools, and systems
Skills and experience required
- Proven experience as a Production Manager within print packaging
- Strong leadership experience managing large teams within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Good understanding of blow moulding processes
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of UK health & safety standards and employment legislation
