A well-established, family-run manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Fibreglass Laminator to join its growing team. Fibreglass Lamination experience is preferred but we are open to training the right candidate with a good attitude and who has worked with hand and power tools.
Duties and Responsibilities of Fibreglass Laminator:
- General labouring duties including trimming, lifting and splicing
- Mould preparation
- Release of simple moulds
- Use of hand tools
- Use of handheld power tools such as grinders and sanders
- Bond preparation
- Basic housekeeping duties
- Correct use of PPE
- Taking responsibility and accountability for your own work
The Ideal Candidate for a Fibreglass Laminator:
The successful applicant will ideally have at least one year's experience working with resins and fibreglass; however, this is preferred rather than essential. Applications are also welcomed from individuals who are keen to learn and develop these skills through training.
Key Skills and Experience of a Fibreglass Laminator:
- Understanding of GRP/Fibreglass laminating and associated processes (preferred)
- Experience with wet lay lamination techniques (preferred)
- Experience with chop spray application techniques (preferred)
