A leading aerospace and defence manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Skilled Fine Limit Sheet Metal Worker to join its growing fabrication team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled fabricator with experience in precision sheet metal work, hand forming, and working with exotic materials to join a well-established engineering business producing high-specification aerospace components.

The role will involve manufacturing complex fabricated parts to extremely tight tolerances using a variety of forming, assembly, and finishing techniques:

  • Manufacture precision sheet metal components from engineering drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions
  • Carry out bending, forming, cutting, pressing, riveting, assembly, deburring, stretching, and inspection operations
  • Work to tight tolerances across a range of aerospace-grade materials including aluminium, stainless steel, titanium, and Inconel
  • Set and operate fabrication machinery including fly press, brake press, and linishing equipment
  • Perform drilling, trimming, grinding, filing, and finishing operations
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience within precision sheet metal fabrication
  • Strong background in aerospace, defence, or high-specification manufacturing
  • Experience with hand forming and fine limit sheet metal techniques
  • Skilled in fabrication, assembly, and integration of fabricated and machined components
  • A proactive and quality-focused approach
