A leading aerospace and defence manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join its highly capable engineering team based in Romford. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled manufacturing engineer with strong CNC programming and process engineering experience to play a key role in developing complex aerospace manufacturing solutions across machining and production engineering operations.
The successful candidate will be involved in:
- Developing and optimising 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC programmes to meet manufacturing requirements
- Designing and developing work holdings, jigs, fixtures, and tooling solutions
- Creating robust manufacturing methods to support first-time-right production
- Owning and maintaining production routings, tooling, gauges, and process documentation
- Determining tooling and material requirements in line with engineering specifications
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity
- Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and agreed timescales
- Developing and improving manufacturing documentation and process control procedures
- Researching and evaluating emerging manufacturing technologies to support future business growth
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer within precision engineering or aerospace manufacturing
- Strong CNC programming capability across 3, 4, and 5-axis machining
- Experience developing machining processes and manufacturing methods
- Background in fixture, jig, and tooling design
- Aerospace or defence manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong understanding of machining principles, cutting tools, and process optimisation
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- CAD/CAM experience highly desirable
Salary & Benefits:
