We are working with a growing engineering business delivering complex automation, manufacturing and industrial installation projects across the UK — and they are looking to add a Project Engineer to their team.

The Role
As a Project Engineer, you will support the delivery of electrical and industrial projects from design through to installation and commissioning. You will work closely with Project Managers, Engineers and Site Teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to specification. Based in the West Midlands with regular UK travel.
What You Will Be Doing
- Supporting delivery of electrical and industrial engineering projects
- Assisting with planning, coordination and scheduling
- Working with design, installation and commissioning teams
- Supporting procurement of materials and equipment
- Attending site during installation, testing and commissioning
- Ensuring compliance with RAMS and site safety procedures
- Monitoring progress, reporting updates and resolving issues
- Providing technical support to engineers and site teams
What We Are Looking For
Essential:
- Electrical or engineering background (industrial / manufacturing / automation)
- Experience in installation, commissioning, maintenance or project environments
- Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
- Strong organisation and communication skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Willingness to travel
Desirable (NOT essential):
- Previous Project Engineer experience
- Background in automation, conveyors, FMCG or material handling
- HNC / HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
- Experience working on industrial sites
