We are currently recruiting for a 5 Axis CNC Machinist to join a well-established manufacturing and precision engineering company based in Hayes. This role involves operating 5 Axis Kitamura CNC machining centres with Fanuc controls within a busy production environment, manufacturing high-quality engineered components.
Key Responsibilities
- Set, operate and program 5 Axis Kitamura CNC machining centres
- Work with Fanuc control systems
- Load and unload components and tooling
- Monitor machining operations and ensure quality standards are maintained
- Read and work from engineering drawings and production documentation
- Carry out basic quality inspections using measuring equipment
- Maintain machine cleanliness and good housekeeping standards
- Support production and manufacturing operations as required
- Follow company health & safety procedures at all times
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience with 4 Axis or 5 Axis CNC machines preferred
- Fanuc controls experience beneficial
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers and micrometers
- Good attention to detail and quality standards
- Reliable and proactive approach to work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
