Monday – Friday My client, a forward thinking and customer focused vehicle management business, is looking for an experienced HGV Driver to work within a small team based from their workshop in Welwyn Garden City. The main tasks are collecting and delivering frontline emergency vehicles from/to the workshop for repairs. The majority of these collections/deliveries take place in the County of Hertfordshire. Main responsibilities:- • To collect & deliver vehicles from client sites and external suppliers as and when required. • To ensure that under no circumstances vehicle radio/telephone equipment are not to be switched on and/or listened to. • To accurately complete the required paperwork including the ‘daily drivers log’. • To assist in the collection/delivery of parts. • To take vehicles to the MOT test station and also present vehicles for DOE tests. • To comply with associated procedures relating to Tachographs. • General site maintenance and duties, e.g. clean workshop floors/equipment. • To maintain & control car park areas are kept tidy & clean and presentable at all times. • To ensure disposal/storage of waste products skips and bins are emptied in a safe and timely manner in line with environmental policies and procedures. • To complete workshop vans (currently 3) compliance weekly checks. • To assist with carrying out vehicle brake checks The ideal candidate w…
