Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Painter and Decorator role based in Milton Keynes.
The Painter and Decorator will prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming, and apply a range of paints and coatings to internal and external areas in line with project specifications.
Day-to-day tasks include carrying out brush, roller, and spray painting, hanging wall coverings where required, protecting surrounding surfaces, and ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
The role involves working on new-build and occupied properties, following site health and safety procedures, coordinating with other trades, and meeting programme deadlines and quality standards.
The Painter and Decorator will also be expected to follow method statements, use appropriate PPE, and represent the company professionally when interacting with site teams and clients.
Qualifications
- Strong practical skills in Painting and Decorating, including surface preparation and finish quality.
- Experience working with a variety of Paint and Coatings suitable for internal and external environments.
- Proficiency in Painting and Spray Painting techniques for both commercial and residential projects.
- Relevant industry experience or vocational qualifications (e. g., NVQ or equivalent) in painting and decorating.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices, including safe use of access equipment and PPE.
