Base pay range
Reactive Maintenance Engineer | Commercial Environments | £38-40K Base | £50-60K OTE | Van + Employment Package | Weekly Pay.
Due to an increase in contract demand, we are actively recruiting for a Reactive Maintenance Engineer to work on a reactive basis, attending maintenance issues across all building fabric disciplines within commercial environments.
Works may include:
- Carpentry: Basic woodwork, door repairs, wall repairs, shaving down doors, door closing systems, fixtures and fittings, plaster boarding, making safe of areas, ceiling tiles etc.
- Plumbing: Taps, washers, flusher, internal blockages, leak detection etc.
- Patch roof repairs
- Patch tiling – walls / floors.
- Pump repairs / replacements.
- Lamps / ballasts.
- Painting and decorating.
Further duties will include:
- Driving the company van.
- Collecting parts / materials and keeping van stock up to date (paid for by the company).
- Providing detailed remedial reports of works.
- Use of company and client CAFM systems.
- Working to company/ industry standards health and safety / compliance standards.
- Carrying out between 4-8 reactive jobs per day (location dependant).
Employment Package:
- Role: Reactive Maintenance Engineer
- £38,000 – £40,000 Basic Salary per annum.
- Expected annual earnings: £50,000 – £60,000.
- Permanent, PAYE position, Paid Weekly.
- Paid Overtime: X1.5 rate until Midnight, X2 rate overnight or anytime Sundays & Bank Holidays.
- Call out rota: 1 in 4 weeks: £80 per call out + overtime rates after 1st hour on-site.
- Provided: Company van, fuel card, pension, phone etc.
- Holidays: 29 days including bank holidays.
- Weekly pay schedule: 1 week in hand.
Candidate Profile:
- City and Guilds or NVQ (or equivalent) in a relevant trade discipline if preferable or “time served” applications also acceptable.
- Experience in a reactive maintenance role is highly preferable.
- Experience working in commercial environments is highly preferable.
- Must have a strong skill set in all round “building fabric” disciplines, similar to those listed above under “works may include” (plumbing, carpentry etc).
- Must have a UK driving license with under 9 points.
