We are currently recruiting for qualified Electricians to join a busy maintenance team, carrying out planned maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance duties across a critical datacentre environment based in Docklands, East London (close to Canary Wharf).

As the Shift Electrician, you will be working as part of a team, maintaining all Electrical, Mechanical and HVAC infrastructure, maintaining critical systems such as UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), high voltage (HV) switching, CRAC / CRAH units (computer room air conditioning / air handling).

Employment Package:

  • Role: Shift Electrician / Electrical Shift Engineer
  • Status: Permanent, PAYE
  • Salary: £56,000
  • Additional Earnings: £3,000 HV Allowance + paid overtime
  • Hours: Continental 12 hour shifts, days and nights: 6 on, 4 off, 4 on, 6 off, 4 on, 4 off.
  • 25 days paid holiday pro rata to shift pattern, pension (match scheme of 5%), private healthcare plan, income protection, life assurance and other internal benefits.

Requirements:

  • Must be a qualified Electrician to NVQ Level 3 / City and Guilds Level 3 standard.
  • Experience within a maintenance based role is highly preferable but not essential.
  • Experience working within critical environments or with critical systems is highly preferable but not essential (e.g. HV switching, HV shutdowns, UPS, CRAC / CRAH units etc).
