Senior Transport Planner

We provide transport planning, highway design, flood risk and drainage input at all stages of the development process; from feasibility, through the planning application process and then to detailed design. KEY TASKS/DUTIES

• Prepare and review Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, and supporting technical notes;
• Undertake and oversee transport modelling, forecasting, and data analysis using industry-standard tools;
• Interpret national, regional, and local transport policy and apply it effectively to development proposals;
• Lead stakeholder engagement, including liaison with local authorities, statutory bodies and design teams;
• Mentor and technically review the work of junior staff, providing guidance and professional development support;
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality assurance, and company procedures.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Education/ Experience:

• Minimum 4 years relevant Transport Planning experience.
• An accredited Degree in an applicable analytical subject – for example Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering, Mathematics etc;
• An understanding/experience of the UK planning process;
• Further education or Master’s degree in a transport planning/engineering related discipline would be beneficial, but not essential;
• Full UK driving licence is beneficial;
• Full UK permit to work or residency.

Technical Skills:

• Computer literate with advanced use of Microsoft Office;
• Good levels of numeracy, including a good understanding of spreadsheets;
• Understanding of the use of AutoCAD (desirable, but not essential);
• Understanding of GIS software;
