Employment: 42.5 Hours per week | 5 days out of 7 to cover weekend requirements
Location: Creation Group, Knockin Industrial Estate, Shropshire, SY10 8ED.
A notable portion of this role will involve working ‘on-site’ at various festivals, events, and locations throughout the UK.
Purpose of Role
As part of the Install and Fabrication team, you will be a key player both in the workshop and on-site. You will work closely with the workshop management team to assist with project design, build, and fabrication while also playing a pivotal role in the preparation, installation, and de-rig of events, activations, and exhibitions. This role best suits an upbeat and self-motivated individual who enjoys working systematically and productively in a fast-paced, energised environment. Your contributions will directly impact how big brands are perceived and experienced by their audiences.
What you will be responsible for
- Workshop
- Collaborating with the design and production teams to execute the construction of innovative and captivating set designs.
- Build and fabrication using a number of techniques (skill set dependent): Design and ideation, Joinery, Welding, Finishing, CNC Router.
- Supporting production schedules ahead of project kick-off.
- General housekeeping of the workshop to ensure a tidy and organised workspace.
- On-Site Responsibilities
- Safely transporting and setting up equipment, materials, and structures at festivals, events, and activations.
- Assembling and disassembling exhibition stands and activation spaces, ensuring quality and precision.
- Responsibility for ensuring you have the correct equipment and fixings before leaving HQ to travel to the site.
- Problem-solving on-site to overcome challenges and unexpected situations.
- Guiding and overseeing junior team members, including supervising temporary event staff.
- Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety guidelines and protocols.
- Representing Creation professionally at all times while engaging with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders on-site.
What we are looking for
- Experience in the event industry (preferred).
- A strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and tools.
- Proven experience in set building, carpentry, or a related field.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and plans.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering a quality finish.
- Adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, prioritising and organising workload effectively.
- Ability to work on your own initiative, excellent teamwork and communication skills.

- Full driving licence.
You will be working with a variety of people across a variety of projects and must have great organisational and interpersonal skills to build relationships with suppliers, contractors and colleagues alike.
