The Haven Wolverhampton is a Women's Aid organisation and the city’s leading provider ofdomestic abuse and sexual violence support services for women and children. Everything we do isrooted in one purpose: we support victim-survivors to be seen, heard and safe.Violence Against Women and Girls is a global crisis. Nearly one in three women will experiencepartner or sexual violence in their lifetime. In England and Wales alone, 2.2 millionwomen experienced domestic abuse in the year ending March 2025, and here in the WestMidlands, more than 6,800 children were affected by domestic abuse between 2022 and 2024.

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and organised Fundraising Lead to join our busy anddynamic team, raising vital funds to support women and children who have experienced domesticabuse.The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and will enjoy a varied role, working across many areasof fundraising - from organising key events such as our Gala Dinner and recruiting regular donors, toaccepting cheques at events and creating emotionally engaging appeals. The Fundraising Lead willwork alongside our marketing communications function to improve our current and potentialsupporter journey, which covers everything from impactful presentations to personalised supporterthank yous.It is crucial the candidate can develop and nurture long-term relationships, particularly withbusinesses, local groups and individuals in the local area to help with raising awareness and engagethe whole group or workforce in our work.The candidate will be part of a supportive team but will need to attend events independently andaccount manage many different partnerships. They will also monitor and manage income andexpenditure ensuring all donations are accounted for and thanked.We are looking for a friendly and engaging professional who wants a fast-paced role that makes adifference to the lives of real people and the local community.

Person Specification

  • Essential:Ideally at least two years' experience in a fundraising role in the charity sector
  • Experience of building meaningful relationships with individuals, groups and businesses.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire our supporters.
  • Develop tailored and compelling stewardship plans, enhancing donor understanding and inspiregiving and loyalty.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to be efficient in a fast-paced environment and managemultiple projects simultaneously including our Haven events and third-party event portfolio.
  • Lead on the creation of compelling donor journeys and engagement campaigns that inspire givingand loyalty.
  • Confident using a CRM database and experience with online fundraising platforms
  • Understanding of GDPR, and the Fundraising Regulator Code of Fundraising Practice.
  • Must have a full driving licence and live within reasonable commutable distance of our head office.

Data & Insights

  • Leverage CRM system to monitor donor behaviour, track income, and generate actionableinsights.
  • Produce regular reports to inform decision-making and demonstrate impact.
