About the Vacancy:

Are you passionate about supporting others? Come and join our friendly team!

We currently have a Community Support Worker role available in Warrington. This is a part‑time position, 18 hours per week with the salary of £26,227.50 per annum (pro rata).

Working Pattern:

  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
  • Working hours between 9:30am and 3:30pm

Essential: UK driving licence and access to a car, as regular travel across a wide service area is required.

What you’ll do:

You’ll work with local people to build their skills, local connections and friendships. You’ll make sure that the people you work with (Members) are doing as much as they can for themselves, that they are looking after themselves and that they have a life that is bigger than social care support.

  • For David, this meant helping him to sort out his money so that he paid his bills and had some money left over to spend on what he’s really passionate about: World of Warcraft. Now he feels in control of his money, he has a new goal and is saving for a trip abroad.
  • For Carol, it was about setting alarms so that she remembered to take her tablets. Now she feels less anxious she’s getting out and about and meeting other Members.

You’ll feel inspired and help inspire people. You’ll encourage them to try new things and have new experiences. You’ll reassure but you won’t take over. Every Member you support is unique, and every day will be different.

Your role will be out and about. You’ll meet people in their homes or at local venues.

What you won’t be expected to do:

We support people with a lot of different things to do with leading an ordinary life, but we don’t do things like bathing people or taking them to the toilet. This is sometimes called personal care. If people need personal care, we will work with other local support providers to make sure they get what they need.

Your diverse and inclusive workplace:

Our vision is for a welcoming world that celebrates the skills and talents of everybody.

KeyRing is proud to be an equal opportunities employer and is committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive community.

KeyRing is also a disability confident employer. We encourage applications from our diverse communities to help us make this happen. We want you to feel at home, and be yourself, so we can benefit from your unique skills and talents.

If you are invited to interview, we will share the questions with you before we meet. This will help you prepare and really show us who you are and what you can bring to the role.

When we invite you to interview, you will tell us about your own experiences. We recommend that you take a look at our values to help you think about some of the things you’ve been involved in.

For more information about the role, please contact Simon on 07432535204 or Simon.Abernethy@keyring.org.
