We are looking for a Warehouse Operative (3 on 3 off) in Leeds. Sigma provides end-to-end storage solutions across the UK and is committed to creating a diverse environment as an equal opportunities employer.

Working as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of operational duties to support the efficient movement of goods. This includes:

  • Receiving deliveries, organising and storing stock
  • Accurately picking and packing orders for distribution across the UK
  • Maintaining a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and meeting strict operational deadlines

The position operates on a 3 on / 3 off shift pattern and requires flexibility to work overtime, excellent attendance, and timekeeping.

Main responsibilities:

  • Receiving and unloading deliveries from trailers into the warehouse
  • Sorting, stacking, and storing goods in designated locations
  • Dispatching orders with correct documentation
  • Loading trailers efficiently and within deadlines
  • Handling heavy stock, requiring a good level of physical fitness
  • Carrying out manual handling tasks in line with safety standards
  • Adhering to all site health and safety requirements at all times
  • Signing off and taking responsibility for completed tasks
  • Conducting stock integrity and quality checks
  • Maintaining housekeeping standards, including hygiene checks
  • Keeping warehouse and external areas clean, organised and hazard-free

Knowledge and skills required:

  • Minimum of 12 months’ warehouse experience
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and safe manual handling
  • Ability to work to deadlines and meet performance targets
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Physically fit and capable of handling heavy goods
  • Reliable, proactive and flexible approach to work
  • Excellent attendance and timekeeping
  • Strong team player with good communication skills

Qualifications:

  • Reach truck & Counterbalance FLT licence is preferred
