About Us

CanDo Laundry Services Ltd is one of the UK’s leading providers of industrial laundry and textile management solutions, proudly serving the hospitality, healthcare, and industrial sectors. We supply, hire, and clean bed linen, towels, table linen, workwear, and floor mats. Our continued success is built on reliability, teamwork, and our commitment to delivering exceptional service to every customer, every time.

The Role

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Transport Supervisor to support the day-to-day operations of our busy transport department at our Telford Location. Working closely with the Transport Manager, you’ll oversee route planning, vehicle compliance, and driver management — ensuring deliveries and collections run smoothly, safely, and on time. This is a hands-on role, requiring flexibility to step in and drive when needed, along with the ability to coach, develop, and lead a team to deliver outstanding performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Route Planning & Operations: Support the Transport Manager in planning and optimising delivery and collection routes. Monitor and adjust routes in response to traffic, customer needs, or operational priorities. Assist with daily transport operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and service excellence.
  • Vehicle Compliance & Maintenance: Ensure all vehicles meet legal and company standards for safety, cleanliness, and maintenance. Maintain accurate vehicle records, including inspections, servicing, and repairs. Liaise with maintenance providers to schedule and monitor vehicle servicing. Supervise, motivate, and support a team of drivers, fostering a positive and high-performance culture. Assist with driver training, briefings, and ongoing development. Address performance or conduct issues fairly and promptly.
  • Driving & Cover Duties: Undertake driving duties as needed to maintain delivery schedules or cover absences.
  • Compliance & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of routes, schedules, vehicle checks, and incidents. Ensure compliance with all transport legislation and company procedures.
  • Customer Service & Communication: Support the Transport Manager in delivering excellent customer service, resolving any transport-related issues quickly and professionally. Communicate effectively with drivers, depot teams, and customers to ensure smooth operations. Use transport management systems and Microsoft Office tools to track performance, analyse data, and produce reports.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a transport supervisory or team leader role (preferably in logistics, delivery, or industrial services).
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with a focus on people and performance.
  • Sound knowledge of route planning, driver hours regulations, and vehicle maintenance requirements.
  • Confident leader with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Proficiency with basic IT systems (Excel, Word, and transport management software).
  • Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential).

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a growing, award-winning company that values its people.
  • Opportunity to develop your career in logistics and transport management.
  • Supportive leadership team and a positive, people-first culture.
